Who doesn't love muffins with their assorted flavours and fillings? Variety is the spice of life they say. Nonetheless, a muffin made from beer and chocolate makes the mind boggle somewhat, and it's hard to imagine how such a combination can make any sense to the refined palate. However, I was pleasantly surprised the first time I tasted the much hailed beer and chocolate muffin, as I really couldn't imagine these opposing ingredients coming together to make an impressionable, tasty bake. Still, I'm always available and willing to try even the most unusual of flavours and this unlikely muffin did not disappoint. The result was truly amazing - my taste buds were given the royal treatment and I experienced a virtual symphony on my tongue! The twin aspects of both beer and chocolate created a culinary sensation. Think on the rich, traditional delicateness of chocolate coupled with the sharp but velvety texture of beer. The result is a little piece of baking artistry that leaves the mouth begging for more. But why waste time trying to describe this delectable delight to you when you could be making it yourself?
